What does the American Dream mean to you? Here at Ocean Vodka, we are celebrating the American Dream this Fourth of July. A family owned and operated company, Ocean Vodka started as a brainstorm over a cocktail one afternoon watching the sunset over the Pacific Ocean on the island of Maui, Hawaii. Eight years later, we are celebrating our dream. Ocean Vodka has quickly expanded or is set to expand into almost every one of the 50 states, and international expansion efforts are underway. With the purchase and development of our 80-acre organic farm in Kula, Maui, we are now poised to handle all parts of production in house, from the growing of organic sugar cane, to the distillation of alcohol, to the sharing of our story with thousands of visitors a month.
The American Dream is a national ethos of the United States, a set of ideals in which freedom includes the opportunity for prosperity and success, and an upward social mobility achieved through hard work. In the definition of the American Dream by James Truslow Adams in 1931, “life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement” regardless of social class or circumstances of birth.
We have lots of gratitude for being here, in the 50th state, celebrating the United States of America and the freedom it awards us to have and achieve our dreams.
Cheers with the Ocean American Dream this Fourth of July!
