On Saturday, August 16 Ocean Vodka is thrilled to host the second annual Huliau Food & Film Festival, with all proceeds benefiting Huliau Environmental Education Programs.
Huliau Food & Film Festival is a farm-to-table celebration of local agriculture featuring local chefs and student-produced films. Chefs Include JJ Johnson of O‘o Farm, Marc McDowell of The Mill House, Lyndon Honda of Laulima Catering, James Simpliciano of Simplifresh Farms, Isaac Bancaco of Ka‘ana Kitchen at Andaz Maui and John Cadman of Pono Pies.
Up to 200 tickets will be sold to attendees ages 21-years and over. The event will feature farm-to-table pupu, main course and dessert, and cash bar of 100% locally-produced beer, wine and cocktails. Guests will also enjoy live music, a silent auction and a food-themed student film contest.
The event admission will be $80 and funds raised will benefit Maui Huliau Foundation’s environmental education programs for Maui youth. Last year’s Huliau Food & Film Festival sold out and helped raise over $11,000 for Huliau programs.
The theme for this year’s event is canoe plants, or plants brought to Hawai‘i by our Polynesian ancestors. We look forward to creating an even more successful event this year and hope that you will join us!
