Come join Ocean Vodka this week-end at the Maui County Agricultural Festival! We are thrilled to stand next to other Maui Farmers for the first time at this event on Saturday, April 5, talking about and tasting organic sugar cane juice straight from our farm in Kula. Come visit us at the “Grown on Maui Farmers Market”…meet the farmers who grow your food!
We will be serving free samples and selling cups of sugar cane juice. We are proud to be harvesting organic sugar cane at the Ocean Vodka Organic Farm and Distillery, and to be the only vodka in the world made with organic sugar cane and deep ocean mineral water. As a member of the grass family, sugarcane juice has a high potency equivalent to wheatgrass juice. Sugarcane is rich in calcium, chromium, cobalt, copper, magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, potassium and zinc. It also contains iron and vitamins A, C, B1, B2, B3, B5, and B6, plus a high concentration of phytonutrients (including chlorophyll), antioxidants, proteins, soluble fiber and numerous other health supportive compounds.
Held annually on the first Saturday in April, the Maui County Farm Bureau along with the farmers, ranchers and agricultural allies present the annual Maui County Agricultural Festival to share agriculture’s vital role in the economy, environment, and lifestyle of Maui. Held on the lū‘au grounds of Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapū, this is Maui’s prime event to raise awareness about local agriculture on Maui.
Here’s an event to talk story with the people who grow our food and their industry allies, to discover what agriculture means to our communities and ‘aina, to taste fresh flavors, have fun. Hosted by Maui County Farm Bureau in partnership with Office of Economic Development, and supported by generous sponsors, the festival provides the one-stop experience of the wondrous impact of agriculture in day-to-day life.
