IMG_0640Ocean Vodka was honored to be a guest of honor at many of the tables at the seventh annual Pipeline to a Cure gala on July 19 at the Huntington Beach Resort & Spa.

The second year of supporting this gala event that raises money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Ocean Vodka is thrilled to support the work of this important organization.  Honorary co-chairs of event are Laird Hamilton and Dave Kalama, surfers who we know well and love on Maui.  It is wonderful to see the surf community coming together to help raise awareness for important challenges in our communities.

Laird_Dave-640x426“A sell-out crowd of more than 800 people gathered at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach on Saturday July 19 to celebrate the positive connection surfing has with the Cystic Fibrosis community. The evening of good vibrations turned into a record-setting fundraising event for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, raising a net amount of $1.2 million to help find a cure for this deadly inherited disease.  Since its inception in 2007, the Pipeline to a Cure campaign has now raised more than $3.7 million to help find a cure for CF.

Other celebrity attendees included honorary co-chairs Laird Hamilton and Dave Kalama, Gabrielle Reece, Olympic gold medalists Jason Lezak and Aaron Peirsol, surf legends Peter “PT” Townend, Jericho Poplar, Mickey Munoz, Reef McIntosh and Sam August.”  Excerpted from Surfer Magazine
